Even though we’re a young fintech startup, we’ve had a breathtaking founding journey with many projects, great customer stories, and an amazing outlook for the future.

Like any good startup, we were founded at the kitchen table. But that seems like a lifetime ago. Look what has happened since then.
With a vision to change the way people pay, we were founded in Switzerland.
Never a team to think small, we went live with significant commercial partners: Swatch, VISA, and MasterCard.
“How do they do that?”
With so many people asking the question, we collaborated with Innosuisse on an academic study to share some answers. Our partners were the Swiss universities IPEK, ILT, and IFS.
The project analyzed specific parts of our end-to-end passive wearables ecosystem with the goal of providing measurable results for before, during, and after the tokenization process. Funding came from the government with an overall budget of CHF 500,000.
With revenue of CHF 333,000 in 2020 we could proudly say that all of our products and services were being developed with cash flow from our founders’ equity and, yes, happy customers.
We proudly closed a EUR 1.3M pre-Series A funding round with Companisto.
As our incredible team continued growing we moved into an office in the center of Munich.
Our operations needed a real-world home so we established an office in picturesque Lucerne.
It only made sense to take advantage of available talent so we started building our development team in Cluj.
We gladly took on the task of equipping thousands of people with our payment wristbands and providing live support at one of the biggest sporting events in Europe.
Testing a new use case for wearables.
In cooperation with the Swiss university OST, we supported industrial engineering students with a hands-on project.
The prototype is a cloud-connected pillar that contains specific user details connected to each wearable. By equipping children with these trackable wearables, it helps parents more easily find them in large, busy areas.
It’s official–we founded wearonize LLC in Wilmington, Delaware and look forward to our next growth phase.
Founding a joint venture with wearable producer LAKS resulted in our new wearable brand: LAKS PAY.
The partnership marks another important milestone for our unique selling point of a 360° offering.
Well, almost. Because we learned some great lessons partying at the world’s biggest music festival and equipping all the guests with our stylish wearables.
